1970 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 (W109) in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition.

1 of only 6526 produced.

This is one of the best examples of a 6.3 I have seen and driven - definitely one of the better ones.
Major mechanical restoration done. Most parts were imported from overseas and are OEM original. Paintwork and interior is in very good condition. No signs of rust. Mileage is believed to be 65 000km.
Over the last years a lot of love, effort and money has been put into her to get her to the standard she is in today. This 6.3 has done 2 recent trips from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg without any hassles. Goes like a dream and is a very reliable classic.

Cooling System

• New water pump
• New Thermostat
• Radiator flushed and rodded
• New radiator filler cap
• Cooling system flushed out and new antifreeze
• All V belts replaced
• All coolant pipes inside of engine V replaced
• New metal cooling pipes made up inside of V of engine

Fuel System

• Fuel injector pump overhauled
• Injectors cleaned and tested
• Cold start valve rebuilt
• Fuel tank removed and cleaned out
• Fuel filter replaced
• Replace fuel hoses

Engine system

• Engine oil and filter replaced
• Replace all high pressure oil cooler lines for engine
• Replace all high pressure lines for powersteering
• Replace seal between air compressor/ powersteering pump to engine
• Regas Air Conditioning system
• New high pressure oil pipe from engine to air •compressor pump fitted


Drive-train

•Fit new Engine mounts
•Fit new gearbox mount
•Fit new diff mount

Electrical Work

•Fit new electronic ignition and flame thrower coil
•Spark plug leads replaced
•Spark plugs replaced
•Replace ballast and coil wiring
